Essential Skills:
Well versed with and experience and Understanding of :
* Object Oriented Programming
* Development experience in Core java, Java-J2ee, JSP, JavaScript, AJAX
* Frameworks - Struts, Spring, Hibernate, log4j, Apache Axis, JSF, XML
* Strong understanding of any of the following RDBMS: Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL
* Excellent grasp of standard SDLC, Use Case based iterative development, UML
* Good experience of using source control systems.
* Familiarity with Design Patterns, techniques such as IoC, AOP and other design techniques will be a plus
* Develops and documents detailed designs for software sub-systems in accordance with high-level design criteria and to meet specified functional and performance requirements.
* Develops software in accordance with standard software-engineering processes for software design, code and test.
* Creates reliable, efficient, maintainable software programs based upon sound software engineering principles.
* Conducts appropriate verification and validation of software sub-systems against their high-level design criteria and against their functional and performance requirements.
* Develops and documents unit test strategies, test specifications and test plans appropriate to this task.
* Develops test data sets and test environments necessary for the execution of unit test plans.
* Executes unit test plans in a structured and controlled manner documenting test results and recording, analyzing and resolving any defects.
